This session will be a discussion among 2 faculty members, one in the sciences and one in the humanities, about approaches and insights for managing unstructured time to support scholarship/creative work. We’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities of unstructured time, intentionality in prioritizing time for scholarship/creative work, strategies used by the speakers, and insights they have gained that will help graduate students cultivate skills and strategies to support their own professional development.
