Our Campaign Priorities:

    Student Success

THIS IS WHY: The Honors College attracts many of the brightest and most dedicated applicants to UWM. Scholarships are essential to recruiting and retaining these high-achieving students. Support for activities such as national honors college conferences, speaker series, and living-learning community activities enriches the Honors experience. The Honors House is the true home of Honors students during their time at UWM, but it needs additional investment to provide the best educational opportunities for today’s students.

    Research Excellence

THIS IS WHY: A growing number of Honors students participate in undergraduate research opportunities that enhance their academic experience and help prepare them for their future careers. Visiting assistant professorships help the Honors College attract exceptional teachers who invigorate our curriculum by adding their expertise to that of our talented faculty. Through the Faculty Fellows Program, our faculty members conduct research on how exceptional students make UWM a better place to live and work.

    Community Engagement

THIS IS WHY: Support for study abroad provides students with a transformative experience, opening them up to new cultures and ways of thinking. Through student internships, Honors students benefit from real-world experience, professional mentoring, and other career development opportunities. Our Director’s Fund helps the Honors College address the most pressing needs and opportunities as they emerge.

In my job at Google, I always have to be problem solving and forward thinking because the technology industry changes so rapidly. The thought leadership skills I gained in the Honors College helped get me where I am today.
