Students Brave the April Snowstorm

The students in Structural Geology (Geosci 414) braved an April snowstorm to collect fracture orientation data from Harrington Beach State Park near Port Washington, WI on April 2. The fractures formed in Devonian aged limestones that are exposed at an abandoned quarry in the park. It wasn’t always easy to see the rocks, but everyone collected data to use in an upcoming lab exercise. Dr. Dyanna Czeck led the trip and Graduate Student Megan Barlow helped.
