I am interested in understanding ancient martian lacustrine and thermal spring environments using modern terrestrial analogs. My research focuses on mineral and geochemical differences in surface and subsurface deposits using X-ray powder diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and visible and near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy. I am also interested in research related to volcanics, ancient life and geochemical biomarkers.
