Terroir Hunting in Oregon

Associate Professor Barry Cameron along with his PhD student Snejana Karakis and MS student Megan Barlow attended the 11th Terroir Congress at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon, from July 10-14, 2016. In addition to many informative talks and posters, the late afternoon/evening field trips were educational and inspiring. Attendees visited Stoller Vineyards in Dundee Hills AVA on July 11, Maysara Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA on July 12, and Adelsheim Vineyards in Chehalem Mountain Vineyards on July 13. Karakis, Camero, and Pogue presented a poster entitled “The Effects of Vineyard Soil Properties on Phenolic Compounds in Syrah Grapes from the Walla Walla Valley AVA, Washington”.
