The College of General Studies sets you up for success on your personal academic journey.

At UWM at Washington County and UWM at Waukesha, you’ll work toward an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree, which recognizes the completion of a two-year liberal arts program. Your options don’t stop there though.

Our academic programs offer both in-person and online courses that align with your passions and goals, so whether you’re a new freshman or a returning adult, you’ll find courses that work with your busy schedule.

Nontraditional students who are interested in strengthening their professional skill sets or exploring their passions should explore our Continuing Education options for professional development, personal enrichment and youth classes and programs.

The Associate of Arts and Sciences degree can be taken online or in person at the UWM at Washington County or UWM at Waukesha campuses. This two-year degree builds vital critical-thinking and effective communication skills, which many employers seek out.
