Professor Melissa Scanlan, director of the Center for Water Policy, and Andrian Lee, water policy specialist, discussed their research on equitable access to safe drinking water and historic investments in water infrastructure with The Conversation.
During the spring 2022 semester, Scanlan taught a UW-Milwaukee capstone course during which graduates students from multiple disciplines analyzed this issue and were among the stakeholders who submitted recommendations that changed the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource’s definitions of a disadvantaged community.
