Cami Armendariz

Cami Armendariz is the Water Policy and Science Communications Fellow at the Center for Water Policy. She is obtaining her Master of Science in Water Policy at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences. She holds a Bachelor of Science in the Environment and Sustainability from Cornell University.

Prior to graduate school, she worked with Gaia Environmental Consulting where she collected data to study carrying capacities of trail systems, visitor use levels, and transportation models to determine best management practices for protected areas the throughout the U.S. National Park Service. She also collaborated with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Cornell Center for Conservation Social Sciences to produce a pond user perception survey for the U.S. Northeast region to assess user attitudes and improve pond management strategies for water quality.

At the Center for Water Policy, Cami develops science communication and outreach strategies to effectively convey the latest developments and activities within the field.

In her free time, she enjoys finding new places to swim, hike, and listen to music.
