|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on July 20, 2018 at 8:00am

Personnel from the Washington DC think-tank BHEF, area technical colleges, industry internship providers, and participating students meet to confirm best practices for water workforce development.

Representatives from the Washington DC-based Business Higher Education Forum (BHEF) will discuss with Drs. Carmen Aguilar and Russell Cuhel outcomes of the 4th year of the “See Yourself Succeeding in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics” (SYS-STEM) program. The National Science Foundation-funded water technology workforce development collaboration will meet to identify successful interventions and high impact practices used in the model effort, and consider which best practices should be involved in next-gen work enrichment offerings. Student participants, water industry internship providers and provider “wanna-be”s, and Technical College faculty and administration will work together with SYS-STEM and BHEF to envision continuity and improvements to existing methodologies.

Not open to public.  Appropriate potential collaborators may register with Dr. Cuhel.
