December 14 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Please join us for as Jacob Roger’s presents his experience as Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s 2018 Water Quality Intern.
Milwaukee Riverkeeper (MRK) is an environmental nonprofit that acts within the purview of Wisconsin Water Law and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to attain swimmable, fishable rivers throughout the Milwaukee River Basin. Via a number of volunteer and research-based programs, MRK obtains a wealth of water quality data each year. MRK’s Water Quality Intern, in conjunction with other staff members, utilizes said data to produce an annual report, which provides a snapshot of the aquatic health of the Basin’s major watersheds for a particular year. These reports not only contribute to the overall understanding of the changes occurring throughout the Basin, but also identify challenges and opportunities towards improving the health of aquatic systems. This presentation will discuss the work of MRK’s 2018 Water Quality Intern (Jacob Rogers), as well as summarize the findings of MRK’s 2017 Milwaukee River Basin Report Card.
