Dr. Russell Cuhel, senior scientist in the School of Freshwater Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has won the 2021 Margalef Award for Excellence in Education.
The award honors excellence in teaching and mentoring in the fields of limnology and oceanography. Dr. Cuhel is being recognized for his outstanding 27-year leadership in training, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities that has promoted a diverse undergraduate presence within the aquatic sciences.
