Russian language, Slavic folklore, linguistics, and Russian culture.
My research focuses on classroom-based research projects exploring how intermediate students acquire Russian. My previous studies have focused on inter-rater reliability of the writing of Russian students, instrumental case acquisition, and reading strategies of Russian students. My current research project involves the reading strategies of novice to advanced students of Russian and the influence of L1 reading habits on L2 reading comprehension rates and strategy use.
