Paj Ntaub Circle

May 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join us at the Women’s Resource Center for a special Paj Ntaub Circle, where we will come together to share, create, and celebrate the art of Hmong embroidery. Paj Ntaub, or Hmong flower cloth, is a beautiful form of needlework that tells stories of culture, heritage, and personal experiences through intricate patterns and vibrant threads.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced crafter, all skill levels are welcome! Bring your current project or come to learn new techniques while enjoying a supportive, creative environment. This circle is not only about stitching but also about building community, sharing stories, and honoring the rich traditions that make Paj Ntaub so meaningful.

Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own fabric, thread, or embroidery supplies if you prefer. Light refreshments will also be available.

Come connect with others, nurture your creativity, and take part in a timeless tradition!

UWM operates several different centers to support students in their academic, personal and professional growth, and we aim to enhance students’ knowledge and skills both inside and outside the classroom. UWM is also dedicated to preparing our students to meet workforce demands at the regional, state and global levels. The services provided by these centers play a vital role in helping students deepen their understanding of different perspectives and collaborate more effectively with people from various backgrounds and experiences. The centers regularly collaborate with each other and other campus units to provide exceptional programming and services to students, faculty, staff and the community. The centers and their programs and events are open to all students. Some programs and events may also be open to faculty, staff, and the community.
