UWM created the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/hr\/drug-free-campus\/notifications\/\">Drug-Free Campus Notifications webpage<\/a> to meet that requirement. It outlines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Relevant campus policies related to alcohol and other drugs (AOD)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An overview of UWM, state of Wisconsin and federal penalties for AOD related violations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on the health risks associated with use of alcohol, cannabis and other drugs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details about campus and community support services for AOD concerns, including telehealth (phone or online) options<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Resources at a glance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boxes containing naloxone\/Narcan \u2014 a safe medication that can reverse an opioid overdose \u2014 are installed across UWM campuses. For more<br>information about Narcan, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/health-promotion\/alcohol-and-other-drugs\/narcan-at-uwm\/\">Narcan at UWM webpage<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UWM offers fentanyl test strips to students for free at the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/medical\/dispensary\/\">Student Health and Wellness Center dispensary<\/a>. The strips can reduce the chance for overdose by detecting the presence of fentanyl, a potentially dangerous synthetic opioid, in different kinds of drugs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Student Health and Wellness Center offers a confidential brief screening and intervention program called <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/basics\/\">BASICS<\/a> for students who want to <br>explore their alcohol\/drug use and ways they might reduce the risks for harmful outcomes. The center also provides confidential alcohol and other drug assessments, brief counseling, crisis counseling, support groups, consultation and referral assistance for students on the Milwaukee campus. Students may call 414-229-7429 or visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/\">Student Health and Wellness Center site<\/a> for more information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UWM has partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/counseling\/mantra-health\/\">Mantra Health<\/a> to increase the availability of counseling services to our students. Mantra counselors provide free short-term psychotherapy to enrolled in-person and online learners for whom teletherapy is appropriate. Find information about a variety of appointment times and identity-specific providers at this <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/counseling\/expanded-counseling-services\/\">expanded counseling services<\/a> webpage. If you or a loved one is facing a mental health crisis or in need of immediate support, call UW Mental Health Support 24\/7 at 888-531-2142 at any time. In addition, from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. CT you can text 888-531-2142 or video chat using the <a href=\"https:\/\/hub.mantrahealth.com\/login?mrn=mrn.patientPortalHome.&amp;reauth=true\">Mantra Health app<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/you.uwm.edu\/\">You@UWM<\/a> invites students to create a confidential profile to discover hundreds of personalized tips and resources to tackle your academics, career path, stress and social life.
