{"id":33440,"date":"2025-01-03T10:24:02","date_gmt":"2025-01-03T16:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/?page_id=33440"},"modified":"2026-04-14T14:03:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T19:03:40","slug":"review-the-results-fss","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/finances\/receiving-financial-aid\/review-the-results-fss\/","title":{"rendered":"Review the Results \u2013 FAFSA Submission Summary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The results of your FAFSA are referred to as a FAFSA Submission Summary or FSS. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After you submit your FAFSA, you can access the results via studentaid.gov or through the email you receive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Results are typically available within 3-10 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making Corrections:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you need to make corrections, log in to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fafsa.gov<\/a> and select &#8220;Make Corrections.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not all corrections are accepted, so it\u2019s a good idea to contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/contact\/\">Student Financial Service Center<\/a> before making certain changes (such as for household size, asset information, or marital status).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will receive a new Summary anytime corrections are made.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New Summary:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If any corrections are made, you&#8217;ll receive a new FAFSA Summary. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional Information: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be on the lookout for any additional requests for information. These will be sent via email or show up on your PAWS account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial Aid Eligibility:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If no additional information is needed, expect to be notified of your financial aid eligibility via email in about 3-4 weeks. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New students will start receiving financial aid offers in December.
