She joined UWM in 2001, serving as the Associate Director of the Office of Legal Affairs from 2002 to 2004 and Director from 2007 onward. In this role, she oversaw legal matters and supported UWM administration on key campus issues. Her leadership continues to support UWM&#8217;s mission of excellence and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before UWM, Robin was a Principal Associate at the law firm von Briesen &amp; Roper, s.c., specializing in public school districts. She graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1995 and earned a bachelor of arts in economics and art history from Northwestern University in 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finance-administrative-affairs\/contact-the-vice-chancellor\/\" rel=\"\">Contact the Vice Chancellor<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-are-the-responsibilities-of-the-vice-chancellor\">What Are the Responsibilities of the Vice Chancellor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administrative Affairs serves as UWM\u2019s chief financial and business officer, leading financial strategy, infrastructure planning, and policy development to support long-term institutional goals. The Vice Chancellor oversees the division&#8217;s operating units and guides policies that impact UWM&#8217;s financial and administrative functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Office of the Vice Chancellor directs and manages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Financial and selected administrative operational programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development and monitoring of budgets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordination of and planning for capital construction, repairs, and renovations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of land acquisitions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and other aspects of the campus infrastructure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development and operation of technology infrastructure and enterprise IT services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Space utilization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research and workplace safety programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campus security and protective services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal advice and representation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What Are the Responsibilities of the Vice Chancellor?
