Student Encouraged to Get Vaccinated Before the Fall Semester

The COVID-19 vaccine is students’ ticket to getting back to normal and staying healthy. If students haven’t gotten their COVID-19 vaccination yet, check out three key reasons to roll up their sleeve:
  • No more mask: Vaccinated students no longer have to wear face coverings inside UWM facilities or outdoors.
  • No testing: Fully vaccinated students living in University Housing, taking in-person classes, and/or who are employed by UWM will be exempted from required asymptomatic testing upon request. Submit an exemption request and proof of vaccination.
  • No quarantine: Students who are fully vaccinated and are exposed to COVID-19 do not need to complete a 14-day quarantine, as long as they don’t develop symptoms and do not test positive for COVID-19.
The UWM Vaccination Clinic is open this summer. Students can walk in or make an appointment. Learn where students can find their free vaccine elsewhere in their community.
