Moving Out of University Housing
As the academic year nears the end, we want to prepare you and your student for the steps to move out properly. Residents are allowed to have up to two (2) guests assist in the move-out process. Cambridge Commons, Purin, RiverView, and Sandburg Halls will close at 12 PM on May 22, 2021. Kenilworth contracts end at 12 PM on May 31, 2021.
Residents must sign up for a checkout time by May 1, 2021. Purin residents should have received an email from their RA. All other residents should have received an email with the sign-up link as of Friday, April 9, 2021. More information and links are included on the University Housing Move-Out site.
University Housing Meal Plan Refunds
If your student owes any charges on their PAWS account, the refund would first be applied to those charges. Any remaining funds would then be refunded (less the $10 administrative fee).
If your student does not have any outstanding balance or end of year charge, the meal plan funds will be refunded to your student, less a $10 administrative fee. Refunds are provided in the same fashion as the payment was made. Refunds typically take up to 45 days after closing.
Encourage your student to update their address
Students living both on- and off-campus should update their mailing address with the U.S. Post Office ($1) and in their PAWS account (no cost).
