December Commencement To Be Virtual Ceremony

In light of health and safety concerns, the Fall 2020 UWM commencement will be a virtual celebration on Sunday, Dec. 20.

The university had hoped to hold an in-person ceremony, but there remains considerable caution and uncertainty surrounding large gatherings as COVID-19 remains a threat in the community. UW-Madison announced yesterday that its December commencement ceremonies will be virtual, and other universities in Wisconsin are announcing similar plans.

Dr. Michele Bria, executive director of Journey House, will be the commencement speaker. UW System Regent Mike Jones will deliver greetings from the Board of Regents.
