Marketing Partnerships

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee maintains marketing partnerships with a number of professional sports teams and other sports-related organizations in the Milwaukee area. These partnerships increase the branding and visibility for UWM in the community, allow the University to support a variety of local efforts and create opportunities for UWM to promote and engage in a variety of special events for its faculty, staff, students, families, alumni and more. The partnerships are also a part of UWM’s overall student recruitment marketing efforts, with it’s brand placed in front of millions of sports fans and community members every year.

The Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, play their games at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. UWM also receives exposure with an outfield sign and announcements in Arizona during spring training. Plus, the Brewers regularly offer ticket discounts to UWM faculty, staff, students, families and alumni.

UWM’s partnership with the Bucks gives the University a presence with the city’s NBA franchise and in the new Fiserv Forum. The agreement currently includes tickets used for UWM’s Winter Visit promotion, on-court recognition of student groups, advertising on Fiserv Forum’s closed-circuit televisions during events and a sponsorship of Milwaukee Bucks’ student achievement programs geared primarily toward area elementary and middle schools.

UWM’s a proud supporter of the Milwaukee Kickers, highlighted by a strong presence at the Uihlein Soccer Park. UWM’s signage is present on both indoor fields and at the main outdoor fields.

UWM is a continuing partner with ROC Ventures. ROC Ventures owns both the Milwaukee Wave and Milwaukee Milkmen locally, while also owning The Rock Sports Complex and new Ballpark Commons development. The partnership includes extensive signage targeting youth baseball tournaments as well as sponsorship at all Milwaukee Milkmen home games.
