Artists Now! Guest Lecture Series: Jessica Thornton
Jessica Thornton is an artist, illustrator, printmaker and community organizer based in Palmer, Alaska. She was born in Åbo, Finland and raised in Huizen, the Netherlands. Her work addresses social and environmental justice movements, Arctic flora and fauna, and the unseen, beautiful connections we have to our environment. She works as the Arts in Action Coordinator for Native Movement.
All 2021-22 lectures are free virtual events. Series supported in part by the UWM Black and Gold Committee & Differential Tuition funds, Frederick R. Layton Fund, the John Colt Memorial Art Fund, The Queer Curatorial Fund, Print Club, and OBJECT.
