DESCRIPTION:The exhibition features research by UWM undergraduate art history students from the Fall 2024 colloquium taught by Associate Professor Richard Leson. The paintings in this exhibit raise questions about authenticity\, value and the ethical implications of traditional art-historical work. \nDemoted opens in the Mathis Art Gallery\, on the first floor of Mitchell Hall\, on Thursday\, March 13\, with an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. featuring remarks from undergraduate co-curators at 5:30 p.m. Exhibition runs through May 1. The gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Gallery and events are free.

DESCRIPTION:Trip Dates: April 18\, 3 p.m. departure — April 19\, 7 p.m. return to campus \nLooking for something out of your comfort zone? An adventure for the ages? Join Outdoor Pursuits as we team up with Wildman Resort\, one of Wisconsin’s professional whitewater rafting outfitters on the Peshtigo River. Our adventure will include one night of camping followed by a day full of whitewater rapids. \nWe will be tent camping on-site for one night. Meals\, transportation and rafting/camping equipment are provided. \nThere is an option to place a $75 deposit at checkout – the remainder of the balance must be paid in person before registration closes. Outdoor Pursuits believes in making our trips available and affordable for all UWM students.
