Colin Fengier

Baccalaureate Program in Language Instruction (Menominee)

Colin Fengier is from the Menominee Tribe and is bear clan. As an undergraduate, Colin is currently pursuing his bachelor’s in English as a Second Language (ESL) Education, in hopes to teach his tribal language. Colin, an Indian Community School (ICS) alumni, class of 2013 and graduated Pius XI Catholic High School in 2017.
Colin’s personal mission is to assist the effort of revitalizing the Menominee language and helping to build a solid curriculum for all grades ranging from K-12. Colin’s hope is to have all indigenous languages to be taught at all grade levels, especially high school outside of the respective tribes. His hope is to teach the Menominee language at the high school level, once the curriculum is built.
