United We Read, a student/faculty reading series, kicks off with this first event of the school year and features Creative Writing Professor Rebecca Dunham joined by graduate students Loretta McCormick, Jenni Moody, and Andrew Ruzkowski.

The event is on Thursday, October 1, 7p.m. at Boswell Books (2559 N Downer Ave).

The final United We Read, a student/faculty reading series, of the year consists a fantastic reading lineup, including Dr. Rikki Clark, and graduate students Marissa Jean Neal, Mollie Boutell, and Peter Burzynski.

The theme of the reading is food. Also, Polonez Restaurant have made a special UWM bistro menu of discounted food items and Polish beers. Those interested in having an early dinner should come a little before 7, though you can order food and drinks throughout the reading.

The event is on Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m., at Polonez Restaurant (4016 S. Packard Avenue).

The third installment of United We Read: Student/Faculty Reading Series. Creative Writing Professor and poet Brenda Cárdenas will be joined by graduate students Tom Vollman, Lindsay Daigle, and Michael Larson. It will be a stimulating evening of prose and poetry, as well as visual imagery accompanying some of the readings.

The event is on Friday, February 13, 7p.m. – 8p.m. at Woodland Pattern Bookstore (720 East Locust Street).
