Jay Wright Poetry Reading at Marquette

Jay Wright, a prominent African American poet and playwright will visit Marquette University this October. He will deliver a poetry reading on October 25, taking place at 3:30pm in Weasler Auditorium. This public event is open to all students, faculty and the public.

Wright’s visit is funded by a grant from the Rojtman Foundation and is aimed especially at engaging students, faculty, and the Greater Milwaukee Community in participating in his visit to Marquette. He has been recognized worldwide as a leading poet and playwright. His interest in multiple cultural language structures in his work may be of special interest.
