With both an MA and an MFA in creative writing, Mari believes in helping second language learners form an emotional identification with English as they learn to write it. She encourages students to use the language to discover new parts of themselves and to see the world in a new way. In addition to building her expertise in ESL, Mari is always writing poetry and creative non-fiction
