The English Language Academy conversation group “TALK!” is a great opportunity for non-native speakers of English at UWM to practice their English, meet new people, get acquainted with campus, and learn more about American and local culture. Every Fall and Spring semester, the conversation group meets for about one hour a week. This group is for both undergraduate and graduate international students. It is open to students in the English for Academic Purposes program, the Intensive English Program, and other international students on campus.

The conversation group is led by other UWM students who enjoy meeting new people and helping English language learners improve their English conversation skills. The topics discussed vary greatly and are chosen and prepared by the UWM students leading the group, but they love taking your suggestions. We want you to be able to talk about different topics that you are interested in.
