You\u2019ll apply the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world engineering projects, enabling you to complete your 31-credit degree within a year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-two-ways-to-reduce-your-time-to-graduation\">Two ways to reduce your time to graduation:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion\" data-accordion-prefix-classes=\"uwm\" data-accordion-cool-selectors=\"1\"><button class=\"uwm-p-accordion--toggle-button size-p-md\">Expand All<\/button>\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.uwm.edu\/engineering-applied-science\/integrated-bs-ms-degree\">Accelerated Graduate Degree Program<\/a><\/strong><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>UWM&#8217;s Accelerated Graduate Degree Program (Integrated BS-MS) enables UWM students to take six graduate credits while completing their bachelor&#8217;s degree. This work can be used to satisfy six credits of both their bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s degree programs, at the undergraduate tuition rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3.2 minimum GPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>36 credits or less remaining for your bachelor&#8217;s degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 credits maximum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No GRE exam required for admission to UWM Graduate School<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\"><a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.uwm.edu\/course-search\/?srcdb=999999&amp;keyword=civ%20eng%20921\">CIV ENG 921 Graduate Internship<\/a><\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>This internship course in Civil &amp; Environmental Engineering provides students with a hands-on learning experience within a professional engineering environment. The internship experience aims to enhance students\u2019 technical skills, critical thinking abilities, and professional development, preparing them for successful careers. You can also earn an hourly salary in a full-time or part-time role, providing you with financial support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Internship overview:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 credits maximum (3 credits maximum per semester).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To receive three credits students are required to work a minimum of 150 hours (50 hours per credit).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can only be taken as a non-thesis graduate student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students must have completed at least six graduate-level credits before enrolling in the CIV ENG 921 Graduate Internship course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The internship will be coordinated between the department, the student and the company.
