The College of Engineering & Applied Science is excited to welcome to Xiaoli Ma, assistant professor, Department of Materials Science & Engineering.
Ma received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Arizona State University and most recently was a post-doctoral associate at University of Minnesota’s College of Science & Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.
His research interests are in the design and development of advanced materials for use in separation, purification and sensing technologies. His research group will focus on polymers, porous materials (metal-organic frameworks, zeolites, carbons, etc), nanocomposites, and their incorporation into functional devices. In particular, his group will develop materials and membranes with improved performances for water treatment and purification.
Ma’s office is located in EMS 1261 and his lab will be located at the Great Lakes Research Facility.
