Rahman receives UWMRF Bradley Catalyst grant

Congratulations to Mohammad Habibur Rahman, assistant professor of mechanical and biomedical engineering, who received a $45,000 UWM Research Foundation Bradley Catalyst Grant for his project “Powered Hand Rehabilitation Glove,” or PHRG.

Rahman was a PI for a Milwaukee I-Corps team in winter 2018 that sought to bring to market the PHRG, which is a powered hand rehabilitation glove with applications for stroke sufferers.

Rahman runs the college’s Biorobotics Lab, which focuses on the design, development, and control of wearable robots that can rehabilitate and assist physically disabled individuals whose upper and lower extremities are impaired.
