In her current role of Engineering and Data Science Manager, Inna Schimmel is responsible for accelerating achievement of business objectives through technical innovation and leading the team of Data Scientists, Operations Research and Transportation Engineers across multiple lines of business also serving as a link between Business and TECH organizations. Inna’s teams are recommending, designing and implementing engineering models & systems leveraging Data Science/AI and Optimization to enable Dynamic Data Driven Decision Making to increase ROI.
Inna Schimmel joined Schneider Engineering in August 2012 as a Lead Transportation Engineer. In that role she was responsible for engineering activities supporting existing and potential Schneider Logistics customers by analyzing their supply chain network and identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic network design, transportation mode conversion, freight consolidation, pooling, and routing.
In May 2015, Inna Schimmel was promoted to Engineering Manager leading the Dedicated Embedded Engineering team. In that role she was responsible for leading five engineers supporting the Dedicated Services Line of Business and setting the goals to achieve Business and Engineering objectives.
Prior to joining Schneider Engineering and Data Science, Inna worked for 3 years in various positions in Information Management and Revenue Management at Schneider. Other work experience includes five years with GENCO as an Engineering Manager.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Information Science (double major) and a minor in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. She has also attended Moscow University of Communication and Informatics majoring in radio engineering.
