Talks to Otieno about the Manufacturing Skills Gap

The article addresses multiple contributing factors to the skills gap that the U.S. manufacturing industry faces, current misconceptions about careers in modern manufacturing, and the role of manufacturing to the U.S. economy.

“Manufacturing has been—and still is—one of the greatest contributors to the nation’s economy,” Otieno states. “The National Association of Manufacturing estimates that for every $1 that is invested in manufacturing, about $2 is injected into the economy.”
