Congratulations to Lei Schlitz, K. Vairavan, Brent Aussprung, and Srikanth Pilla, all of whom will be honored at the annual University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Alumni Awards in October.
The four are among an accomplished group of 24 individuals and one organization chosen for recognition based on their outstanding professional achievements, civic involvement and partnerships with the university.
Schiltz, MS Mechanical Engineering ’93, PhD Mechanical Engineering ’98, will receive a Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. She is executive vice president, Food Equipment Segment, Illinois Tool Works.
K. Vairavan, professor emeritus, UWM College of Engineering and Applied Science, will receive an Honorary Alumni Award.
Brent Aussprung, BSE Mechanical Engineering ’14, will receive a Graduate of the Last Decade Award-Undergraduate. He is a patent agent with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP.
Srikanth Pilla, PhD Mechanical Engineering ’09, will receive a Graduate of the Last Decade Award-Graduate. He is founding director of Clemson Composites Center and a Dean’s Faculty Fellow of Automotive Engineering at Clemson University.
