The Electrical Engineering department at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offers graduate programs that lead to Master’s and Ph.D. degrees. We also offer a Doctoral Program in Medical Informatics.
Courses, which cover a broad spectrum of areas within electrical engineering, are taught by an accomplished international faculty with widely published basic and applied research. As a result, graduate studies in Electrical Engineering can be broadly focused while specifically structured to each graduate student’s needs.
The department serves a large number of graduate students, some of whom work full-time in industry in Southeastern Wisconsin. Full-time graduate students are eligible for support as research or teaching assistants. The department has approximately twenty teaching assistant positions (administered by the department) and a number of research assistant positions (administered by individual faculty). Graduate students can also apply for Graduate School Fellowships and Graduate Internships.
