2019 Milwaukee Engineering Research Conference: Connected Engineering
The Milwaukee Engineering Research Conference (MERC), held at UWM’s Student Union Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st, brings together federal agencies, industry and academia for technical discussions to advance the nation’s research enterprise.
The future of connectivity will take the spotlight at this event, as the college partners with the new UWM Connected Systems Institute.
- Keynote speakers: Raghu Ramakrishnan, CTO of Microsoft Data and AI, Lyman Tschanz, Vice President, Connected Enterprise Consulting at Rockwell Automation and Alan Yeung, Director of U.S. Strategic initiatives at Foxconn Technology Group.
- Speakers from federal agencies include the Army Research Laboratory, Department of Energy, and the National Science Foundation.
- New this year: look for expanded panel discussions on the topics around advanced materials and manufacturing, the water and energy nexus, transportation, biomedical and health, and connected systems.
