{"id":12118,"date":"2025-09-17T15:59:54","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T20:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/education\/?p=12118"},"modified":"2025-09-17T15:59:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T20:59:56","slug":"uwm-school-of-education-welcomes-andrew-davis-to-the-educational-psychology-department","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/education\/uwm-school-of-education-welcomes-andrew-davis-to-the-educational-psychology-department\/","title":{"rendered":"UWM School of Education Welcomes Andrew Davis to the Educational Psychology Department"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>MILWAUKEE, WI \u2014 The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education is pleased to announce that Dr. Andrew Davis will be joining the Department of Educational Psychology faculty this Spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Davis has served as Associate Dean and Head of School since July 2023, where he provided leadership in advancing the School of Education\u2019s mission to prepare the next generation of teachers, counselors, researchers, and educational leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Dr. Davis to the Department of Educational Psychology,\u201d said Dr. Chris Lawson, Associate Professor and Department Chair. \u201cHis expertise in counseling psychology and his dedication to both research and teaching will be a tremendous asset to our students and faculty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his new role, Dr. Davis will contribute to the department\u2019s programs in Counseling and School Psychology and continue his research in Clinical Neuropsychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Davis joined UWM in 2023 after previously serving on the faculty at Ball State University.
