After you\u2019ve been admitted to the School of Education, take care of the following to prepare for enrollment\/registration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set up your Email & Multi-Factor Authentication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s important to check your UWM email on a regular basis (https:\/\/uwm.edu\/office365\/<\/a>). Log in using your ePanther ID and password. For security reasons, our campus uses multi-factor authentication (MFA) for the ePanther ID verification. To set this up, visit https:\/\/uwm.edu\/information-technology\/digital-id\/mfa-student\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

University Terms & Conditions Agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before you\u2019re able to enroll, you\u2019ll need to complete the University Terms & Conditions Agreement in PAWS. It will show up as a \u201cHold\u201d on the right-hand side of your student account. More info at\u00a0https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/finances\/university-terms-and-conditions-agreement\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan your Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Using the Schedule of Classes (https:\/\/catalog.uwm.edu\/course-search\/<\/a>) is the best way to search for course offerings each term. Check with your advisor if you have questions about your course options and graduation plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sign up for Classes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll register for classes through PAWS (https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\/<\/a>). First, add classes to your shopping cart, then \u2018finish enrollment\u2019 to officially register. PAWS how-to tutorials can be found at https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/students\/enrolling\/adding-dropping-and-changing-classes\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After enrolling\/registering for classes, check out the following resources to prepare for the first day of classes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apply for financial aid (if applicable)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Apply for financial aid online at\u00a0fafsa.gov<\/a>. Designate UWM as a recipient using the Title IV code 003896. Visit the UWM Financial Services website for more details:\u00a0https:\/\/uwm.edu\/financialaid\/<\/a>. Be sure to check out UWM Scholarship Opportunities at\u00a0https:\/\/uwm.edu\/finances\/scholarships\/portal\/<\/a>. Monitor your UWM student accounts for updates regarding your financial aid offers and acceptance details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Military and Veteran Student Information | UW-Milwaukee Veterans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visit the UWM Military and Veterans website (https:\/\/uwm.edu\/military-veterans\/<\/a>) for information about MEBO (Military Education Benefits Office) and support for veterans through MAVRC (Military and Veterans Resource Center)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Log in to Canvas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Canvas is the UWM web-based learning environment. All UWM courses (online and onsite) in which you are enrolled should appear in Canvas by the first day of the term. Access Canvas via the UWM Homepage, or by going directly to UWM Canvas Site (https:\/\/uwm.edu\/canvas\/home\/<\/a>). To log in to Canvas, you need to know your ePanther ID and Password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get your textbooks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Required texts for each class are listed in the syllabus (found in Canvas before the start of each semester). Books can be purchased online at the UWM Campus Virtual Bookstore at UWM Virtual Bookstore (http:\/\/panthershopuwm.com\/shop-by-course<\/a>). Outside sources may also be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pay your tuition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tuition and fees are due on the date indicated on your PAWS account. Eligible students who wish to participate in the tuition installment payment plan must pay at least $100.00 toward tuition charges by the tuition due date. Important tuition information can be found at: Business & Financial Services https:\/\/uwm.edu\/onestop\/finances\/billing-and-payment\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
