       Administrative Leadership    <\/h1>\n<\/header>\n  \n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"lead-in\">The Department of Administrative Leadership develops the education field\u2019s next generation of change-makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an educational leader, you\u2019ll have the vital skills needed to nurture leadership among others in a wide range of elementary, secondary and post-secondary programs, as well as in business and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have two areas of study: Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education Administration, which focuses on post-secondary adult and continuing education leadership and administration at higher education organizations; and Educational Administration, which focuses on elementary and secondary educational Applicants can expect to hear back with the Graduate School\u2019s official admission decision 6-8 weeks after their application is complete. If admitted by the Graduate School, they can also expect to hear back from the department with their advisor assignment shortly thereafter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines for Submission of Applications to the Program<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fall terms \u2013 mid-July of the year you plan to start;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spring terms \u2013 mid-December of the previous year;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Summer terms \u2013 mid-April of the year you plan to start.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications submitted after these deadlines will be reviewed on a rolling basis and may not be processed in time for enrollment for the intended semester. In this case, please contact the Office of Student Services (<a href=\"mailto:soeinfo@uwm.edu\">soeinfo@uwm.edu<\/a>). For enrollment deadlines, please also review <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/onestop\/dates-and-deadlines\/important-dates-by-term\/\">Important Dates by Term<\/a> from the Registrar\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: We recommend you submit your application <em><strong>earlier than the deadlines listed above<\/strong><\/em> in order to take advantage of the different types of funding the university has to offer. Please see the information regarding fellowship and scholarship application deadlines below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fellowship Application Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in Administrative Leadership graduate programs are eligible for funding opportunities through the Graduate School. Fellowships information and links to apply can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/graduateschool\/students\/financial-support\/\">Graduate School Financial Support<\/a> webpage. Those applications must be submitted by <strong>Jan. 30<\/strong> for internal ranking in the department. We then submit recommendations to the Graduate School by their deadline in early February for the upcoming fall term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The School of Education awards scholarships every year. Scholarship applications for the upcoming academic year typically become available in November, with a final deadline in early February. Scholarship amounts range from $500 to full tuition.
