Carly Bieri and Chantel Wiedmeyer, a graduates of UWM’s Interpreter Training Program, are part of the team translating Gov. Tony Evers’ briefings on the coronavirus epidemic into ASL for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Bieri and Wiedmeyer work for the DHS Office for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, which also employs deaf individuals.
