SOE Student Selected as Alderperson

Theresa (Terry) Meyer, a graduate student in Curriculum and Instruction, won election as an alderperson for District I in Burlington on April 3. She will be serving two years in the part-time position, and will be one of eight people on the Burlington City Council – two alderpersons from each of the four districts.

Meyer is a master’s candidate in Curriculum and Instruction, concurrently certifying in English education. She is presently student teaching at Rufus King International Baccalaureate High School in Milwaukee.
