The 2022-2023 scholarship application for the School of Education is now available. Deadline to apply is February 11, 2022.

You can apply for UWM scholarships by submitting an application through the portal at UWM Scholarships. This application will also make you eligible for scholarships outside of the School of Education.

Scholarship amounts range from $500 to full tuition. For 2021-2022, $455,000 was awarded to students in the School of Education. The average award was $1,952.

While the university did not hold a scholarship banquet this year, the development office emailed thank you notes to donors who had emails. Those who gave at certain levels also received the 2021 Scholarship Donor Recognition booklet. The thank-you note also included a link to a newly created website, (give.uwm.edu/scholarships) filled with messages of thanks from our students. Highlights include:

Rose Irwin, an elementary education major who received the Jean E. Hoffman scholarship, was one of the four students who chatted with Chancellor Mone in the video about what the scholarship meant to her. Having the scholarship allowed her to put more focus on her studies and student teaching as she prepares to be the best possible teacher she can be, she said.
