Nicholas Husbye

Nicholas E. Husbye is an associate professor in the Elementary Education program in Teaching & Learning. He teaches courses in literacy education. His research interests include digital literacies and multimodality, literacy education and children’s literature. A former first grade teacher, he earned his B.A. in elementary education at Michigan State University. He completed his doctorate in literacy, culture and language education at Indiana University with a minor in gender studies. Before joining UWM, he taught elementary literacy education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
