Alanna Harris

Alanna Harris is a Teaching Faculty in the English and Language Arts, 4-12 Education Program. She is a PhD candidate in the Department of Teaching and Learning and worked for the past several years as a graduate research assistant with the Asset-based Cultural Competence Ensuring Student Success (ACCESS) grant, a study focused on the integration of culturally responsive pedagogy in a school district/university partnership. Alanna’s dissertation interrogates mindfulness’ increase in English Language Arts Classrooms and how educators are using mindfulness as a culturally responsive approach.
