M3 Meeting at Zilber

On Thursday afternoon, I attended a M3 meeting at the Zilber School of Public Health. All five-goal teams reported the initiatives they are working on and the metrics and timeframe for completion. I helped strategize with goal 3’s team to increase the participation in MPS’s Parent Institutes, which are geared to encourage more families to support higher education aspirations for their children.

Attached you will read about the latest Bradley Tech update (PDF). There are some good things happening at Bradley Tech. This is the start of the 3rd year when the Bradley Tech Commission was reconfigured with UWM, MATC, and MPS teaming up to work together to improve Bradley Tech. During my 1st year, I realized this was going to be a 5-7 year project similar to what Michael Fullan has studied and written about what it takes for effective change and reform to occur and stick.
