Ami Levenhagen

Ami joined the Office of Equity/Diversity Services in December of 2018. As the Associate Director of EDS, Ami is responsible for ensuring the University's compliance with the UWM Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Affirmative Action (AA) policies and procedures, campus wide implementation of diversity/climate initiatives, and investigation and mediation of EEO and employee-related Title IX complaints.

Prior to joining UWM, Ami worked as an associate attorney at a mid-size Milwaukee law firm, where her practice focused on family law and securities litigation. Ami earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2017) where she was an associate editor for the Marquette Law Review, student leader for the Academic and Supplemental Success Programs, and co-president of Marquette’s Public Interest Law Society. During Law School, Ami also served as a judicial intern to Judge Diane Sykes, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Ami earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013.
