Please review and be prepared to discuss the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\">Event Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion uwm-p-accordion--icon-left-circle\" data-accordion-prefix-classes=\"uwm\" data-accordion-cool-selectors=\"1\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Booking Spaces<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UWM Catering does not reserve, book or hold space for event usage. All additions, changes, and accommodations made after the final guest count is determined may incur additional charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Ordering Minimums<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All full-service catering reservations require a minimum food order. If the minimum is not met, UWM Catering will provide services for a fee that covers the difference until the minimum is met.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>All buffets have a 30-person minimum.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Individual menu items may also have a minimum amount that is required for ordering. Edgewood Ave to E. Kenwood Blvd., and N. Downer Ave. to N. Cramer St.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The delivery fee will be assessed on an individual event basis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The delivery fee will be waived for events that exceed a food order of $5000.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">General Fees Details<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Direct Service Fee<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UWM Catering will forward all costs of goods and service provisions on an event-by-event basis to the host as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These fees will be detailed in advance of the event, whenever possible, in a reservation confirmation containing detailed service information and itemized costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The event costs and fees, as they exist 7 days prior to the event date, will be delivered and billed as listed unless alternative arrangements are made directly with a UWM Catering Planner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes, cancellations, or additions made less than 5 days prior to an event are subject to new fees and penalties, and may be added at the discretion of the UWM Catering Planner.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3rd Party Vendor Handling Fees<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UWM Catering is an important administrator of food policy and safety at UWM, and those responsibilities often apply to 3rd party food products served on campus. When a host is serving a 3rd party menu (or menu items) UWM Catering provide:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Communication with the vendor<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Dock delivery set-up<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Proper handling of the food<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Payment of invoices to the vendor<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>If\/when UWM Catering is required to source a menu (or menu items) from<\/em> <em>a third party, the host will be charged an additional 20% of that outsourced menu\u2019s food charges.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plates, linens, and delivery fees are excluded from the calculation of this fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Food Safety Violation Fee<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In accordance with the Milwaukee Health Department and dining industry standards, UWM Catering does not allow the release of time temperature controlled leftover food to clients or guests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The catering staff has been instructed to decline any requests for leftover food or to-go containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If time temperature-controlled food has been removed from the event, a food safety violation fee of $100 may be assessed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Catering Policy Violation Fee<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"uwm-c-link--arrow uwm-c-link--dark\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/policy\/library\/catering-for-campus-events\/\">UWM SAAP-6-3<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to comply with UWM SAAP 6-3 may result in a $150 Catering Policy Violation Fee assessed on the reservation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-scheduling-amp-cancellation-fees\">Scheduling &amp; Cancellation Fees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card-grid uwm-l-grid uwm-l-grid--equal-y uwm-l-grid--3\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--gold uwm-u-mb-40 uwm-p-card--shadow\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p><strong>5-Day Cancellation:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Orders\/reservations not confirmed by noon, 5 business days prior to the event, will incur a cancellation fee calculated as a percentage of the whole event catering cost. These orders do not include linens, set-up, or tear down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with the Alcoholic Beverages Guidelines for Service and State Regulations, UWM Dining &amp; Retail Services is responsible for all sales of alcoholic beverages in approved designated campus areas at UWM. If cash sales or tally sales do not reach the minimum, the client will be required to pay any balance due on the bar minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to market volatility, situational need, and\/or force majeure, UWM Dining &amp; Retail Services may need to modify, reschedule or cancel service(s). UWM Dining &amp; Retail Services is highly dedicated to the health and wellbeing of residents, staff, and other members of the UWM community and will accommodate as possible to serve our campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All active orders\/reservations in process by the 7th day prior to service will be treated \u201cas is\u201d and will be produced and fulfilled as ordered. Therefore, the order\/reservation will be billed accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If applicable, a late-change fee will be assessed, calculated as a percentage of the whole event catering cost.
