Sesame Chicken

Ingredients

  • Corn Starch: 1/4 Cup & 2 1/2 TSP
  • Water: 1 Cup & 3 TBSP
  • Vegetable Base: 1 5/8 TSP
  • White Distilled Vinegar: 1 1/3 TBSP & 3/4 TSP
  • Corn Starch: 3 TBSP & 1/2 TSP
  • Granulated Sugar: 3/4 Cup & 1 TBSP
  • Soy Sauce: 1 1/3 TBSP & 3/4 TSP
  • Sesame Oil: 1 1/3 TBSP & 3/4 TSP
  • Sriracha Chili Hot Sauce: 1 1/4 TSP
  • Whole Peeled Garlic: 1 1/4 TSP
  • Sesame Seed: 2 TBSP & 1/4 TSP
  • Sesame Sauce: 2 Cup
  • Boneless Chicken Wings: 2 Pound & 11 5/8 Ounce
  • Soy Fry Oil: 3 1/3 TBSP & 1/2 TSP
  • Sesame Seed: 1/2 TSP
  • Cooked White Rice: 1/2 Cup & 3 TBSP
  • Green Onion: 2 TBSP & 1/4 TSP
  • Water: 1 1/4 Cup & 2 TBSP
  • Kosher Salt: 3/8 TSP
  • Fortune Cookie: 1

Directions

Sesame Chicken Sauce:
1. Mix cornstarch with water and vegetable base until thoroughly combined.
2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Taste and adjust to flavor.
4. Toast seeds on sheet pan until golden brown. Add to sauce.

Rice:
1. Place uncooked rice and water in steam pan.
2. Steam for 30-35 minutes until rice is tender and all water is absorbed.

Chicken:
1. Deep fry chicken until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
2. Add sauce to chicken, mix.
3. Pour chicken over rice.
4. Sprinkle toasted seeds on chicken.
5. Add green onion and fortune cookie.
