UWM Receives an A+ on Vegan Report Card
The University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee was graded an A+ and has a 89% student satisfaction rate as we offer 9/10 essential vegan options on campus. According to PETA, UWM is part of the elite group of institutions that ranks the highest in the Vegan Report Card. PETA, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. UWM Campus Food is rated an A- on Niche, a ratings and review website. Campus food is ranked based on student reviews and meal plan cost. Top ranking of on campus dining offers easy access to healthy, quality food across a wide range of cuisine and dietary preferences. But don’t just listen to us, take it from these reviews from Niche:

Mary Poppins Special Dining Event Awarded Gold from NACUFS
NACUFS, or the National Association of College & University Food Services is an organization that supports the university foodservice market. Through providing resources to education and networking, NACUFS supplies many opportunities for college foodservices to excel. UW-Milwaukee has and continues to compete in the Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards. This competition celebrates outstanding menus, presentations, special event planning, and new dining concepts. UWM Restaurant Operations transformed Sandburg Café into the world Mary Poppins in November 2018. A team of dedicated UWM Restaurant Operations employees brought the event to life. We entered this event into the Loyal E. Horton Dining Award competition through a captivating book in the form of Mary Poppins’ magical carpet bag. After weeks of anticipation, UWM Restaurant Operations received the news of wining GOLD, surpassing Harvard University! See the book and award yourself that will be featured in the trophy case in Sandburg Café.
Roots for the Home Team Salad to be Featured in RESTOR
UWM Executive Chef Jacob Moss came together with students from South Division High School to create the South House Summer Salad for the Roots for the Home Team program. Roots for the Home Team is a program that partners Learn-Earn-Grow students with professional chefs in the Milwaukee community. Chef Jacob Moss loved the salad that the students from South Division High School created so much that it will be included in all RESTOR shops at UWM. The salads will also be sold at 20 Milwaukee Brewers home games!
