Bio

Samantha is a dedicated and driven graphic design student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Never able to leave a task unfinished, she enjoys working toward an ideal end-result and always welcome others’ input and help with a project. She has a strong passion for illustration and iconography, with the aspiration to illustrate children’s books in her future. She is an especially strong writer and has a knack for story-telling, whether it be through images or words.

She feels committed to a company and her established tasks. She began at TJ Maxx, which she stuck with for over five years, learning many social and managing skills. It taught her how to work alone, as well as on a team. She worked as a Social Media Coordinator for two sister bridal companies, as well as a part-time bridal consultant, strengthening both social skills and customer service abilities. It allowed her to understand branding for a company, as well as how to cater to what people ask for, in both customer product and company image. She was the secretary for the AGIA-UWM sector which gave her wonderful opportunities to grow as a designer and a leader. She now works as an art instructor and graphic design intern for Board & Brush, where she helps people create DIY personalized projects, providing step-by-step instructions and creative directions to help them achieve desired results, as well as help create and design new projects and ideas.

Description

nosh™ is an app that caters to anyone going through a transitional phase in life. When people feel anxious about big changes in life, their eating habits suffer. The common ground with this very diverse audience is someone struggling with change in their life, causing unhealthy snacking habits to form.

The goal of nosh™ is to be unlike the typical “health” plans, as those are all meal based and focus on weight loss. A craving is a sudden urge, with no desire to wait for a meal. We aim to take care of the craving and snacking aspects of unhealthy eating by helping people learn about why they crave, how they can change these habits, and track their progress.

Mission

The goal of nosh™ is to be unlike the typical “health” plans, as those are all meal based and weight-loss focused. We aim to take care of the craving and snacking aspects of unhealthy eating by helping people learn about what snacks may be a better choice, even when tempted with inexpensive and easily accessible junk food, in a fun yet informative way.

Vision

nosh™ is a way for people to learn, track and change their eating habits in times of transition.
