Bio

Taylor Dekker is a creative thinker and visual artist who isn’t afraid of a good challenge. He is currently a senior in the Design and Visual Communication program at UW-Milwaukee and is looking to graduate in spring 2016. Taylor has a wide range of skills that he has honed over the course of his college career. Those skills include, UI/UX design, HTML and CSS languages, branding, visual communication, and storytelling. He is always looking to learn more about the things around him and he is naturally curious. Taylor has held two internships in the past two years. One with the UWM Planetarium where his love for space and design has flourished into creating dynamic posters for upcoming shows. Another internship with the treadmill company, Woodway USA, where he polished his skill of UI/UX design by designing a phone application and a treadmill user interface.

Taylor works well by himself and in team environments. He is a natural team leader but is also flexible and can also play a smaller role as well. He is very open minded and values the opinions of others and he is a good listener. He’s not afraid of tough challenges and enjoys the process of overcoming obstacles. He is also very competitive but is a compassionate people person with a passion for building connections.
